Woof Woof, Briar, again. :) Hans told me people come into the library on the days my mom is not working and they ask to see Thistle and me, then they are bummed to find out we’re not there. So, I thought I should tell you all that Thistle and I go to the library on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 10:00am-5:00pm. Dad picks us up a little early sometimes, but not usually. I’m super bummed I’ve missed out on some awesome petses. Thistle is too, though she doesn’t get near as excited as I do for petses. Mom says that it’s a good thing she doesn’t, but I’m not so sure. Anyway, please come to see us again sometime. :) We missed you all this past Saturday for painting with Averie. She will be holding more classes on the following Saturdays:
All of her classes are free! Mark it on your calendar and come join us for some fun!! Have you wanted to get your family history together but just don’t know where to start? The Friends of the Library will be hosting an evening introductory genealogy class at the library on Thursday, February 9th from 6:30-7:30pm. The class is free so come one, come all!! Mom wanted me to ask if any of you are interested in reading a book for a book club that would meet once or twice a month to discuss the book we’re all reading. She said you could meet at the library or at Classic Café for a snack or whatever works for everyone (I hope you choose the library ‘cause I can’t go to Classic Café’…just sayin’). She recently acquired multiple copies of several titles. The titles she has so far are:
If there is another book you would like Mom to get for a book club read, she is all ears. Mom thinks it would be great fun to have adults and teens read the same book…talk about some interesting discussions to be had! We do have a book club that meets at the library every Thursday at 4:00pm, but we don’t read the same book. We all talk about the different books we’re reading, and it broadens the mind through other genres (whatever that means). Mom also wanted to know if there was anyone out there who would like to start a “movie buffs” group. There are so many cool movies to discuss and watch!! I LOVE snuggles and petses during movie time. Actually, I love snuggles and petses anytime!! Please call the library at 712-624-8554 if you’d like to start that hand sewing/crafting group or if you’d like to puzzle. I’m trying hard to be a good girl and working on obeying. It’s hard to be obedient when you’re a puppy…especially when there are children to play with and smells to sniff and sounds to...squirrel! Until next time, Briar, the Library Puppy
