Minutes of the Regular Board Meeting Malvern Public Library Board of Trustees
March 6, 2023 5:15 p.m. at Library 502 Main St. Malvern, IA. 51551.
President Kathy Timm called the meeting to order at 5:18 pm on March 6, 2023.
Board members present: Kathy Timm, Ron Fanto (by phone conference), Marge Boska, Donna Miller.
Board members absent: Michelle Mayhew, Valerie Zane, John Blasingame
Guests: Mary Beth Costello gave an update for the Friends of the Malvern Library.
Also present, Library Director, Lisa Formhals. A quorum was recognized.
Miller motioned to approve the agenda. Boska seconded. All ayes. Motion carried.
Boska motioned to approve the Regular meeting minutes of February 6, 2023. Miller seconded. All ayes. Motion carried.
The Library Board reviewed the library expenditures. Miller motioned to approve library expenditures for the month of February. Boska seconded. All ayes. Motion carried.
The Library Director gave the financial report and general update.
The Board Trained on Chapter 2: A Culture of Learning in the Trustee Handbook
New Business:
Discussed Holiday/Vacation/Sick Leave Pay and policy wording for Library Director and Library Assistant.
Old Business:
Discussion of Fines and Fees policy change. Voting next month.
Miller motioned to adjourn the meeting at 6:39 pm.
