The mission of the Malvern Public Library is to provide a wide range of quality information services to all patrons so their daily living, working and learning experiences will be enhanced to the fullest. Emphasis is on responding to the community's need for programs to stimulate and nurture a desire to read in people of all ages in a welcoming atmosphere.
NOTICE ON OPERATIONS
Access to the main library is scheduled to be reopened on March 8, 2021, with certain restrictions in place:
MASKS. All persons are required to wear a mask upon entrance. Masks will not be provided.
SOCIAL DISTANCING. Six-foot distancing is required with a maximum occupancy of 10 persons allowable in the library. Any in-person gatherings or programs are suspended until further notice. Carnegie Conference Center remains unavailable for rental until further notice.
HYGIENE. Hand sanitizer will be provided upon entrance and is required at the Computer station. Touch-free hand soap dispensers have been installed in the public restrooms.
HEALTH. Any persons experiencing cold, flu or any symptoms of infectious respiratory ailment should use the library's CALL AHEAD curbside service.
We strongly encourage all patrons to continue to utilize the library in the following ways:
CALL AHEAD. Patrons are strongly encouraged to call ahead with the titles they want to check out. Staff will arrange for a time the patron can pick up those materials at their convenience outside of the entrance door. Homebound deliveries for senior citizens will continue. Call (712) 624-8554 or e-mail email@example.com to reserve your items or to make arrangements for copying, printing and faxing.
INTERNET. Guest WiFi will continue to be available for public use outside of the library. Only 2 Public Computers are available to use, and patrons must use their personal headsets for audio. Patrons may enjoy continued access to the BRIDGES eBook database.
BOOK RETURNS. Library staff continue to wear latex gloves for the handling of library materials. All materials in circulation continue to be sanitized and quarantined for safe public use. Staff will accept book returns in the book drop to reduce foot traffic.
