Meeooowww, Thistle, here. :) Last Monday was a total blast! We had Little Tykes Story Time AND Sassy Sewers Group. The Sassy Sewers really loved me and Briar. They were all sewing quilts. Some were called Quilts of Valor. They were beautiful. They said to tell you that all who love to sew are welcome to come join them. It’s free and held once a month on the last Monday at the library in Carnegie. Briar got in trouble with Mom when she gave excessive hugs and kisses to one of the littles and made him cry. Briar thought she was being loving. She loves like a hurricane! I know, she loves to mouth me all of the time! She makes my fur all mucky wet and then I have to clean and groom for hours!! We got to meet Liz Baldwin’s 10-week-old puppy, Charlie, in the afternoon. He is super cute, but I didn’t trust him. So, I stayed in the library or Mom’s office. Briar didn’t trust the little guy either, at first. Then she tried to play with him, but her paws are just too big for such a little puppy. It’ll be fun to see if they have play dates as Charlie gets older. On Tuesday I made two new friends that love to pet me. They are super sweet girls. They come visit me after school on the days I am at the library. I love them. Book Club was fun this past Thursday. This week we did an easier puzzle because our 1000-piece puzzle kept getting taken apart by littles before we got together again. We’ll see how things turn out this week! LOL (Mom doesn’t know that it’s me that messes up the puzzles sometimes.;) Here is what’s happening at the library on a regular basis:
Saturdays (most activities appropriate for school age children and families):
Special closure dates- My Mom and Dad are going to Italy to visit their non-furry kids and grandkids in April so the library will be closed on several of the days that Mom is gone. The library will be unusually closed on:
Special Programming:
What activities, classes, or get-togethers of any kind would you like to see the Malvern Public Library provide for our community? Call my Mom, Lisa Formhals, or, Hans Leitner, your assistant librarian, at the library (712-624-8554) to give your input on what activities you’d like to have offered at your library. May your puppy not mouth you, Thistle, the library kitten.
