Woof woof, Briar, speaking. :) Monday’s Little Tykes Reading Time was AWESOME!!! I got to play with the littles and many of them threw the ball for me! I was in total DOGGIE HEAVEN!! I’m trying to be more careful with the littles and not bowl them over like a bull in a China shop. (They are like Weebles, (whatever those are) but they DO fall down.) Mom was super proud of me. (It was really hard, though. I couldn’t help but lick them in the face. They are soooooo adorable!) Later that day I got to spend play time with more of my favorite friends. They took me out on a walk!! It was so much fun!! My big sister, Thistle, (she’s two and a half weeks older than me) is super good about letting the littles pick her up and pet her. I wish I was small enough for the littles to pick me up and snuggle me. But I’m a growing girl. I’m six months old now. I just had my half-birthday on April 28th!! Mom says she hopes I’m nearly through growing. She says my tail is a force to be reckoned with…not sure what that means, but I bet it’s good! Mom got to attend a STEM fair in Anita, Iowa last Thursday. I couldn’t go with her. Dad had to work, too, so Thistle and I stayed home. Boy was that weird. Then Mom left us again on Friday to attend a summer reading workshop. I’m not a huge fan of being left at home. I should go wherever Mom goes…it’s only fair. Last Saturday Mom went to work without me, AGAIN!! (I’m starting to get a complex.) She said they showed the new Puss in Boots movie and the kids, and adults, really enjoyed it. She said something about chocolate, soda, and popcorn not being good for dogs… Here is what’s happening at the library on a regular basis:

What activities, classes, or get-togethers of any kind would you like to see the Malvern Public Library provide for our community? Call my Mom, Lisa Formhals, or, Hans Leitner, your assistant librarian, at the library (712-624-8554) to give your input on what activities you’d like to have offered at your library. May your friends take you on walks. Briar, the library puppy.
