BowWow, Briar barking, I mean speaking. :) I have had such a busy life, so far. I go bye-bye with Mom and Dad a lot! Sometimes we get to go to Bomgaars and I get to meet so many people! One time, I went with Mom and Dad to do errands and two different ladies at two different drive-thrus gave me yummy treats!! Then mom and dad got me this delicious round shaped slab of meat with bread on both sides ‘cause I was so good in the store. It was delicious!!!! I didn’t used to like riding in the car, but it's growing on me. :) This past week I had lots of people come in to see me, and my sister, Thistle, at the library. I am learning not to jump on the little ones during storytime, but it’s so hard not to. I just love little kids soooooo much! Mom will bring me out to sit and let the littles pet me. I want to go to them, but Mom says, “No”. I have to let them come to me. If I get too excited Mom makes me go back to hang out with Hans. I love Hans, but kids are so much FUN!! Mom always tells people to tell me, “Off” if I jump up on them. (I LOVE IT when people sit down and give me lovies…but sometimes I get a little over exuberant. 😬 It’s hard bein’ a puppy.) Mom still doesn’t like it when I chew on my sister, Thistle, but she’s so fun to play with! Besides, sometimes Thistle starts it. Mom says The Friends of the Library will be hosting an evening introductory genealogy class at the library on Thursday, February 9th from 6:30-7:30pm. You should see my pedigree chart!!! My Mom can’t wait to start a book club that would meet once a month to discuss a book we all read at the same time. She received a few new titles with multiple copies this week. If any of them flip your skirt she’d love to hear from you. The new titles this week are:
Hearing these summaries makes me wish I could read…I’m glad Mom reads to me. In case you didn’t know, here’s a brief run-down of the programming going on at the library on a regular basis:
We’re working on starting a hand crafting club that will meet once a month where you will bring whatever “project” you’re working on. What would you think of the second Thursday of the month at 4:00pm? Call my Mom, Lisa Formhals, or, Hans Leitner, at the library (712-624-8554) to give your input on what activities you’d like to do at your library. The library belongs to our community…let’s use it! Saturdays with Averie (activities appropriate for school age children and families):
All classes are free! Mark it on your calendar and come join us for some fun!! May your Mom throw the ball for you often, Woof-woof! Briar, the Library Puppy
